Why is your horse's nutrition so important?
Good forage is the cornerstone of nutrition for horses, ponies, donkeys, half asses and zebras. It is not only a source of essential nutrients, but also plays a crucial role in their digestive and dental health. As a source of carbohydrates, protein and fiber, grass and hay are essential components of their diet. By varying roughage, their natural eating behavior is ges(t)imulated and their specific nutritional needs are met. A balanced diet, supplemented with the necessary vitamins and minerals, is necessary for their health, performance and general well-being.
However, it is difficult to achieve an optimally balanced diet with only roughage, even if it is of high quality. Therefore, it may be necessary to add concentrates or balancers.
Choosing the right feed for your horse from the whole range available can be challenging. The many factors to consider, such as age, weight, activity level and health status, can be overwhelming. This can lead to uncertainty and a trial-and-error approach, which can compromise your horse's health and well-being.
About the Equi Nutri Care app
The Equi Nutri Care app aims to provide an overview of commercial feeds, supplements and related products currently on the market for horses and other equids.
The Equi-Nutri Care app simplifies the process of choosing the right feed for your horse. A user-friendly interface allows you to enter your horse's data and nutritional needs. This helps to make well-informed and informed decisions about your horse's nutrition.
The world of horse nutrition is constantly evolving, as is the science behind feeding horses and equids. The Equi Nutri Care app continues to respond to this so you'll receive regular updates. Every day we work to correct errors, add new information, develop new features, and more.
CAUTION: The Equi Nutri Care app is intended for informational purposes only (see disclaimer)
How does it work?
Based on factors such as age, weight, body condition, working level and so on, the intended goal you want to achieve with the feed and personal preferences, the app presents you with a personalized range of feeds. Whether you are dealing with a competitive athlete, a senior horse or a picky eater, the Equi Nutri Care app provides the right solution. The more information you provide, the more accurate the overview of suitable products will be.
The results:
Depending on the criteria specified, a matching list of suitable feeds for your horse will be displayed. This list is based on information provided by the manufacturer. However, the position in the list says nothing about the quality of the product. The Equi Nutri Care app is independent and free of sponsorship and advertising. The position of the product in the list depends primarily on the similarity of the selected criteria. Next, that list is sorted according to the amount of information the manufacturer has released about the product; the more complete the information, the higher the ranking. Therefore, it is always wise to consult the manufacturer's website or contact the manufacturer for more information about the product.

With this app, ENC aims to provide the user with a complete overview of commercial feeds, supplements and related products for horses and equines currently available on the market in a consistent manner. This app is intended as an informational resource only. Use of the information provided by this app is entirely at your own risk.
The app in no way replaces professional advice, a consultation with a veterinarian or qualified horse nutrition advice! Always consult your veterinarian or equine nutritionist before making any significant changes to your horse's diet. Any signs of pain, discomfort, health or behavioral problems, or any doubts about your horse's general well-being, it is advisable to consult your veterinarian or a qualified equine nutrition consultant first.
The accuracy and timeliness of the data in this app cannot be guaranteed. The values provided are total values in the product, including added and naturally occurring minerals from grains, fiber and other raw materials as published by the manufacturer. Since such values are naturally variable, total values may vary slightly in reality.
Unambiguous values, nutrients listed only as additives, or values of derivatives have not been included and have been processed as information not provided.
The products listed do not represent ENC's beliefs. The fact that a product is listed does not automatically mean that ENC endorses, promotes or approves of the product, operation and/or purpose of the feed. Unless as part of a nutritional recommendation, ENC does not provide any information regarding the operation, ingredients, application, quality or any other characteristic of a product. A product not listed has usually not yet been added. On rare occasions, ENC has made a conscious decision not to include a product in the list. No information is provided about this either. The app is dynamic and is updated daily.
"Just because something is on the market doesn't mean you should use it." A direct link to the manufacturer's website is provided with each product. On that website, you will find more information about the particular product. Perform careful research to determine if the product is actually suitable for your horse before using it. If in doubt, you can always contact us.
Any change in your horse, pony or equine's daily ration should be made gradually over a period of 7 to 14 days. A healthy horse or equine takes an average of 21 days to get used to a new feed or supplement. Take the time to get your horse used to this.
Always follow the manufacturer's guidelines carefully.
