In the wild, horses graze on a variety of grasses, herbs and plants that provide a balanced supply of nutrients. Modern diets often deviate from this natural pattern and rely heavily on processed feeds and synthetic additives. This disconnect can lead to various health problems and hinder a horse's overall well-being.
Our mission is to bridge the gap and restore harmony between horse and natural nutrition. We carefully formulate feeding plans that prioritize high-quality fresh roughage and include supplements only when necessary. By mimicking the traditions of nature, we strive to improve digestion, support immunity, promote healthy weight and optimize performance.
This Friesian horse, as a colt, had been weaned at 6 weeks of age for an unknown reason. In itself, this need not be a problem if the foal is adequately supported in other ways to strengthen the immune system and promote general development. That did not happen with this foal.
As a yearling, he was infected with a life-threatening liver bone infection. As a result, his body needed all its energy to recover and survive resulting in a total stoppage of growth.
After recovery and at 20 months of age, the focus was placed on a diet that was liver-sparing to promote liver repair while providing the right nutrients and building blocks to support and stimulate the immune system and growth.
